Be sure and EXPLAIN your position.
Assignment #6: In class we analyzed a number of letters from the Civil War era. Each letter provided a different perspective of how the war impacted different segments of the population. Everyone felt the War in some way. Create a blog post in which you summarize the different ways in which the war impacted the people who lived through this tumultuous time in American history. Can you find any common threads in the different experiences reflected in the letters? What is your perception of what it must have been like to live through this era?

How might the struggle against discrimination continue during your lifetime and which groups of people do you predict will lead this struggle? How might you be able to affect change?
Assignment #12: Our year has nearly come to an end! Take this opportunity to reflect on what we have learned. Of all the events throughout U.S. History which three do you find to be the most significant? Write a blog post in which you identify these three events AND EXPLAIN why you believe them to be so. Final Project
|
Work with ONE classmate and create a class presentation on the topic of your choice. You may choose to work individually but your presentation will be expected to be just as strong as if you had a partner. Was there an event we covered this year that you found particularly interesting? This is your chance to research it more and expand on it for the class. Is there something you find interesting that we did not discuss? Just relate it to US History and share it with you classmates. Presentations will take place on Monday and Tuesday/Wednesday 6/6 - 6/8. This is a project grade and our last big assignment. Take it seriously and do a good job.
